For irregular buildings and structures, the correct wind load application is often difficult. The new program RWIND Simulation helps you to find the right wind load application and to better evaluate wind loads. RWIND Simulation simulates wind flow with the aid of a digital wind tunnel. The determined wind loads can be imported into RFEM or RSTAB.

New Nursery School Building in the District Les Sablons, Le Mans, France

This single storey 1100 m² nursery school accommodates up to 70 children. The building property is also surrounded by playgrounds and other green spaces.

Steel Spiral Staircase in Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Tips & Tricks

Differences in Determining Internal Forces of Downstand Beams

When performing control calculations and comparing the internal forces and the resulting required reinforcement of downstand beams, it might happen that large differences occur. Although the same load assumptions and spans are applied, some programs or the manual calculation display very different internal forces compared to the FEA model.
