ATENA modelling of D-wall construction process and water pressure load
This tutorial discusses ATENA modelling of a rather complex situation of a reinforced concrete D-wall with slabs subjected to underground water pressure.
The objective of this analysis was to simulate a possible ASR attack on the concrete material of the D-wall. The tutorial namely discusses the following modelling topics: interface elements between soil and concrete, the construction of the D-Wal, gradual excavation of the soil behind the D-wall and the construction of the underground structural elements, in this case namely slabs. The modelling of ASR is not part of this tutorial and will be addressed in a special video devoted to ASR modelling. We are looking forward to any comments and suggestions for this tutorial or for other ATENA tutorials.
